A Real Review of Truth About Abs
I went through a phase not too long ago where I didn’t take care of myself and gained a considerable amount of weight, mostly around my waist and tummy. Going through a messy divorce and a bout of depression and low self-esteem can do that to a person. After a good look in the mirror one day I knew I had to turn my life around and get back to being healthy mentally and physically. I took care of the mental part by seeing a therapist (I see now why they charge so much; they’ve helped me get out of a deep dark hole of depression and guilt). At the same time, I tried to take care of the physical part of me on my own. I have to say, I couldn’t have done that part without the help of the Truth About Abs program.
I started my fight against flab by doing what others typically do, go on some form of crash diet. I tried almost every method and regimen out there, Atkins, South Beach, Grapefruit, Caffeine, various Asian roots, colon cleansing, etc. I even started going to the health club, but the motivation wasn’t there. I hired a personal trainer to whip my butt into shape but it was getting costly and couldn’t afford it after 4 months. Don’t get me wrong, I got into cardio shape, but I wasn’t losing as much fat as I was hoping for. So I then tried to educate myself via the Internet. There I found information in abundance but I just couldn’t find a structured exercise and nutrition plan that would help me lose weight and attack my excess belly fat. That was until I found Truth About Abs.
What is the Truth About Abs program?
Let me start by saying Truth About Abs is not an ab exercise program. It does focus on losing belly fat but it does more than that. It explains in great detail our physiology – how and why we get fat in the mid-section. It then shows you how to get rid of that excess fat through clear cut strategies of proper full-body exercises and comprehensive diet plan for increasing your body’s ability to burn fat.
I was skeptical before I read the program that it might require me to eat cardboard tasting food or eat only meals that come from a pouch and made in a blender. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the diet plan is geared toward delicious food, the tasty yet healthy kind. The Truth About Abs also taught me certain foods to stay away from and what foods actually help burn fat.
How does the Truth About Abs program work?
The Truth About Abs program focuses on full-body training programs and strategic exercise combinations and sequencing that increases the metabolic rate and stimulates a fat-burning hormonal response in your body. It also details a full-blown section on nutritional strategies and a fully comprehensive dietary plan that will actually have you enjoying food again and getting and staying lean for life.
Oh, it also does provide descriptions and photos of the most effective abdominal exercises but like I’ve mentioned previously, this is not the primary focus. The Truth About Abs program definitely covers the whole physical fitness and nutrition spectrum. Mike Geary, the fitness guru that developed this program does a great job making this program easy to understand and follow.
Why choose the Truth About Abs?
I can’t really make the choice on a diet and exercise program for anyone. I am no expert. I can only write about my personal experience and great success with the Truth About Abs program. I did however share the program with a dear friend who had a similar weight problem and bulging belly like me and after following the program, she achieved her goals in a much shorter time than I did, by a good month and a half. The Truth About Abs program isn’t a gimmick – far from it! It’s a life changer (for me at least) in that it gave me a great education on health and weight loss and exercise in a way that it stuck with me and allowed me to make an easy transition to the way I treated my body. I was able to easily apply the strategies and diet plans and exercises into my daily routine. What I learned in this book is priceless and I’m living proof of what can be achieved. You might have the same questions I had in my head when before I purchased the Truth About Abs program:
- Does the Truth About Abs program motivate?
- Yes! I wake up everyday with a desire to continue my success with the program. - Does the Truth About Abs really make you lose weight?
- Yes! 30 pounds and counting for me. Of course, results will vary with each person. I just have never lost weight as effectively as with the Truth About Abs program. - Is the Truth About Abs easy to do?
- Yes and No. Yes it’s easy, because the program cuts to the chase and gives you shortcuts to achieving your weight loss goals without compromising your well being, without ‘crashing’. And No, because you have to get into the right mindset and follow the strategies and techniques it lays out for you. Having the willingness to change and apply what’s in the book is the challenging part – but once you get into a routine, it gets easier as each day passes, with each losing pound. Following the Truth About Abs program isn’t difficult. You just have to be willing. - Why is the name of the book the Truth About Six Pack Abs?
- The product is really named that because it was initially targeted for men. The part about ‘Six Pack Abs’ is very macho. But when Mike Geary had women test the program, it worked just as well. Not that the women developed ‘six pack abs’, that would just be weird looking, but the Truth About Abs program helped them lose weight, get rid of their love handles and eliminate excess belly fat. The program works for both men AND women. - Does the Truth About Abs require a lot of money on equipment or special foods?
- No! The Truth About Abs program doesn’t costs less than one month’s health club membership. Beyond that, the food mentioned in the diet plans are easily found at the grocery store, nothing fancy or expensive. It doesn’t tell you to buy any equipment but it might recommend some – still, it’s not required.
Are there any Truth About Abs Bonuses?
Just by going to the Truth About Abs official website, you’ll get loads of information and tips to get going on your belly fat fighting campaign. While the Truth About Abs program on its own is well worth it, it does come with great bonuses too:
- A free DVD “The 5 Keys to Guaranteed Fat Loss”
- Access to chat online with fitness trainer Kim Lyons formerly from the ‘The Biggest Loser’
- 4 free motivational Fast-Fitness audios
Best of all, the program has a 21 day “try it first and decide later” trial. You’ll get your hands on it right away without being charged a cent. Well actually there’s a $4.95 processing fee, but you don’t pay anymore until the 21st day. After that, you still have until day 60 to follow the program and decide if it’s for you or not. If it’s not working for you, although I find that hard to believe unless you don’t plan on reading one word of it, then you can get your money back. That’s a pretty generous trial and guarantee, right? I hope you’ll love the Truth About Abs program as much as I do. If it worked for me, I bet it will work for you too!
